Professional Exterior Detailing — Butler, WI

Exterior Car Detailing
Built to Last.

Hand wash, clay bar treatment, wheel detailing, and hand wax application. Professional paint protection for Milwaukee-area vehicles. Butler, WI since 1981.

What We Do

Protection that starts at the surface.

Wisconsin driving conditions are hard on paint. Road salt, industrial fallout, tree sap, and UV exposure bond to your vehicle’s surface and degrade paint from the outside in. A proper exterior detail removes this contamination and protects against what comes next.

Our exterior detail begins with a hand wash using the two-bucket method — the standard that prevents swirl marks and micro-scratches that drive-through washes inflict on every vehicle. We follow with a clay bar treatment to remove everything that washing leaves behind. Wheels, tires, and brake areas are cleaned individually. Exterior glass is done streak-free. All rubber trim and moldings are treated and UV-protected. The job closes with a hand wax application, buffed and inspected.

The result is a vehicle with properly clean, protected paint — not just wet and shiny for an hour.

How It Works

Your appointment,
step by step.

01

Pre-Rinse & Inspection

The vehicle is pre-rinsed and inspected for paint condition, heavy contamination, and any areas requiring extra attention before work begins.

02

Hand Wash

Two-bucket wash method using professional automotive shampoo. Every body panel, door jamb, and recess is hand-washed.

03

Clay Bar Treatment

A clay bar treatment removes bonded contaminants — overspray, rail dust, industrial fallout — that washing cannot remove.

04

Wheel & Tire Detail

Wheels are cleaned with dedicated wheel cleaner, lug nuts are detailed, and tires are dressed with a professional tire product.

05

Drying & Paint Check

The vehicle is hand-dried with microfiber towels and paint is inspected under correct lighting for any additional concerns.

06

Wax & Final Inspection

Hand wax is applied section-by-section, buffed, and the finished vehicle receives a complete walk-around inspection before delivery.

Questions & Answers

Frequently asked
questions.

What's the difference between an exterior detail and a car wash?

A car wash removes loose surface dirt. An exterior detail includes hand-washing, clay bar treatment, paint inspection, wheel detailing, trim restoration, and hand wax. The results last significantly longer and actually protect the paint.

Does the exterior detail include waxing?

Yes. Hand wax application is included. If you’re looking for paint correction, polishing, or ceramic coating, call us to discuss those options separately.

How long does an exterior detail take?

Typically 2–3 hours. Vehicles with heavy contamination or significant road film may take longer.

Will detailing remove swirl marks?

Our exterior detail includes paint prep and wax, which reduces the appearance of light swirls. Significant swirl marks and scratches require paint correction — call us to discuss.

Do I need to prepare my vehicle?

Remove personal items from the exterior (roof racks, bike carriers) if possible. No other preparation is needed.

What products do you use on paint?

We use Meguiar’s, 3M Automotive, and Pro Line products — professional-grade materials used on show cars and high-end vehicles.

Can you detail a vehicle with rust or body damage?

We can detail around existing rust or damage, but we recommend addressing body work first for best results.

How often should I get an exterior detail?

Twice a year is a good baseline in Wisconsin — after winter for road salt removal, and in fall to protect paint before winter returns.

Local Service Area

Serving Milwaukee &
the surrounding communities.

We’re based in Butler, WI — centrally located in the Milwaukee metro. Below is what Exterior Auto Detailing means for drivers in each community we regularly serve.

Butler, WI — Our Home Shop Our Shop

Every exterior detail is performed at our shop at 4509 N. 126th St. in Butler — a professional facility with proper lighting, drainage, and the right tools. Butler drivers have the most experienced detail shop in the area right in their backyard.

Serving Milwaukee, WI

Milwaukee roads deposit a specific mix of road film, exhaust residue, and road salt that bonds to paint over time. Our clay bar and hand-wax process removes contamination a car wash cannot touch — protecting Milwaukee vehicles from the outside in.

Serving Wauwatosa, WI

Wauwatosa vehicles develop hard-water spots and tree-sap deposits from the area’s canopy-lined streets. Our exterior detail specifically addresses both — leaving Tosa cars with a clean, protected finish and 10 minutes from our Butler shop.

Serving Brookfield, WI

Brookfield sees significant road-salt application through Wisconsin winters. An exterior detail in early spring removes the contamination layer that can begin to etch paint if left untreated — and a fall detail protects what a Brookfield summer leaves behind.

Serving Menomonee Falls, WI

County roads around Menomonee Falls kick up stone chips and gravel. Our clay bar treatment removes embedded contamination and our hand-wax finish adds a protective layer — applied at our Butler shop just 10 minutes from the Falls.

Serving Sussex, WI

Sussex is about 15 minutes from our Butler shop. We frequently see vehicles from the Sussex and Hartland area for exterior detailing — the kind of thorough treatment that protects paint and delivers a result you can’t get at a drive-through wash.

Serving Waukesha, WI

Waukesha vehicles traveling I-94 and Highway 18 accumulate road tar, highway grime, and bug debris embedded into paint. Our clay bar treatment removes all of it, and our hand-wax finish protects the paint going forward — a real difference from a commercial wash.
